Workday Support Consultant

One of our clients, a Biotechnology Research company, is looking for a Workday Support Consultant  REMOTE

Location: 100% Remote Consulting position 

Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in US


Consulting position: Initial term 3 mo.+ (possible extensions and/or right to hire)

Workday Support Consultant

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting Workday or another enterprise application system ( HCM configuration )
  • Working knowledge of HR practices
  • Experience with Workday Time Tracking, Absence, and Performance is a big plus
  • Experience in configurable security and custom report writing
  • Knowledge of data protection and privacy
  • Strong motivational skills and abilities, promoting a team-based approach

Responsibilities:
  • Act as internal system consultant for HR team
  • Meet with HR leaders to understand function initiatives and inform suggestions on system tools and analytics for improved operational efficiency
  • Recommend solutions or alternate approaches for system issues
  • Research and resolve system issues, unexpected results, and/or process flaws
  • Create, maintain, and support a variety of reports, utilizing available reporting tools
  • Maintain data integrity by running audits, analyzing output, and working to evaluate and resolve discrepancies
  • Train HR users on system processes and functionality and assisting with system-related questions and needs
  • Manage system updates
  • Research new features, evaluating which ones should be adopted, and implementing and testing accordingly
  • Run data audits and ensuring system controls and processes meet internal and external audit requirements
  • Make configuration changes to security and business processes as needed
  • Analyze process flows and system utilization to ensure best practice
  • Assist with coordination of testing
  • Train HR users on new processes/functionality
  • Maintain security configuration, including development of new security roles and business process definitions by:
  • Conduct meetings and working closely with HR and management to improve business processes and reporting
  • Act  as internal security subject matter expert, providing consultative and functional assistance
  • Administer security by granting user access, coaching for role assignment accuracy, and maintaining security protocols and programs
  • Ensuring proper protocols are developed and followed to meet audit compliance requirements
  • Leads HRIS team efforts by:
  • Providing coaching and answering technical questions for junior members of HRIS team
  • Acting as project manager for feature releases and other special projects such as M&A
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, or equivalent experience
