SQL Developer Production Support

Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for SQL Developer Production Support (Market Risk).

This is hybrid commute, 2-3 days per week in the office.

4 months initial contract with possible extensions or option to hire. Could be very long term. Final interview will be ONSITE.

** Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in US   - NO H1 Visa support for this role

Rate: $55-60 on W2, possible C2C as well.

Systems Engineer

Job Description

Will be responsible for supporting production and lower environments, conducting regression tests, managing environments, and ensuring the reliability of our systems.
This role requires strong skills in job schedulers such as Tidal, scripting, SQL, Python, and SSIS.
Excellent analytical and debugging skills are essential.


Responsibilities
  • Monitor production and lower environments to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Conduct regression tests to validate changes and ensure they do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  • Manage and maintain environments, ensuring they are properly configured and operational.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Debug and resolve process and data issues using SQL, Python, and SSIS.
  • Work with job schedulers like Tidal to manage and automate tasks and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve production issues.
  • Provide on-call support for production systems as needed.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Continuously improve monitoring, testing, and deployment processes.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a production support or reliability engineering role.
  • Strong SQL and T-SQL
  • Strong proficiency in job schedulers such as Tidal.
  • Advanced scripting skills in languages (Python is preferred) and SQL.
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Familiarity with regression testing methodologies and tools.
  • Experience creating and maintaining different environments (development, integration, UAT, Staging).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with SSIS is a plus.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and frameworks is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
