Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for Junior DevOps Automation Engineer Consultant
Consulting position, initial term is 3 months with possible extensions and option hire.
Rate: $45-50/h on W2, C2C is also an option.

On-site role with 5 days per week to commute to NYC Office Location.

DevOps Automation Engineer
Junior-level, hands-on DevOps automation engineer who will help execute clearly defined tasks and provide level 1 application support. Will be responsible for creating and implementing automated solutions, analyzing data to improve existing processes, and increasing productivity in the workplace.

Technical Scripting Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Python code for automation projects.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues by deploying updates and bug fixes.
• Create Python methods to enhance our alerting and escalation mechanisms.

Project Management Responsibilities:

• Independently manage tasks from conception to delivery.
• Improve the process of knowledge sharing through detailed documentation.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and/or Perl.
• Analytical thinker with sharp problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Self-motivated individual with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Extensive experience working with automation tools and a passion for automating repetitive tasks.
