Our client, a major bank in NYC is looking for IT Project Manager / BA.
Required Equity or Stockloan trading systems.

Initial 6 months contract with possible extensions or option to hire.
Hybrid commute (3 days per week on-site),
Rate: $80-87/h on W2. C2C is also an option.

Equity Stock Loan PM / BA

Hands-on business analyst and project manager who is responsible for providing technology solutions to the securities lending desk. This position takes on the role of an application owner and is responsible for providing the necessary services required for the proper functioning of the securities lending systems.

Major Responsibilities and Skills:

Implement & Support the deployment of support of a securities lending solution
Working with the stockloan users in understanding the business requirements.
Creating functional specifications
Perform analysis of the requirements and ensure the integrity of the solutions provided by the vendor meets the stockloan business and functional requirements.
Working with the vendor to ensure the required solutions are implemented as per the specification
Leading developers in the effort to provide solutions
Develop models & scenarios with the stockloan team
Develop QA scenarios to ensure that deployments are well tested
Provide project management discipline in ensuring that deliverables are met in terms of timelines & quality. This includes prioritizing correctly and managing & monitoring progress.
Work with other disciplines within the organization to ensure that the proper integration effort is being conducted for the product lines supported by Stockloan
Perform basic development work including some programming/scripting in order to helping the team model the solutions
Provide support & troubleshooting services for the systems when necessary

Experience:

At least 3 years’ experience with working as a BA or developer of equity and/or Stockloan trading systems.
Experience in the financial industry in Equities is a required. Securities Lending is a plus.
Ability to work with business and product leaders to understand their requirements.
Ability to clearly document and communicate objectives, requirements and designs at these different levels of abstraction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective presentation skills
Strong educational background with BS / MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related area.
Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux
Development background and the ability to script in Excel
Experience with automated testing tools
Self-driven -- Ability to lead projects from initiation to completion.
Fundamental understanding of database modeling and ETL type applications.
Ability to build ETL batches to manipulate data into and out of a variety of trading and back office systems.
Ability to multitask several ongoing issues. This involves the ability to assess priority and make appropriate decisions quickly and effectively.
